We currently have a vacancy for a Sales Account Executive.
The role’s key objectives are to identify clients with the best market potential, structure calls and visits around when they are planning future tours, develop client relationships, convert business potential into confirmed tour bookings and then maximise this potential. Being able to profile clients and identify where to focus sales time is a must.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual who will be able to work as part of a team to achieve sales targets. Candidates will be required to develop relationships with our clients and be able to identify their individual needs to deliver the right product and price point within acceptable deadlines.
This vacancy is ideal for a person who has a natural sales talent, but remembers to listen first, understand the client and then sell. The position also requires good administration skills, attention to detail and has a down to earth affable approach with clients. Experience of the travel industry is required with a good geographical understanding of tourism destinations within Europe and the UK and a practical understanding of creating tour packages. Any experience in dealing with suppliers/hoteliers is a bonus.
The successful candidate needs to have a proactive attitude and an ability to think and make decisions for themselves where needed.
Duties & Responsibilities
The role includes:
Identifying, grading and targeting clients according to sales potential.
Scheduling sales calls and visits with target clients according to when they are planning tours.
Generating sales enquiries from clients and making sure that the right product is found to best match their purchasing profile and other requirements
Preparing Costings and Quotations
Chasing quotations and maximizing conversion into confirmed bookings
Maintaining and updating existing client profiles
Auditing questionnaires to clients about the quality of tours operated and checking for repeat booking requests
Arranging client visits where and when required
Attending trade exhibitions
Line Management
The Sales Account Executive will report directly to the Sales Manager and overall to the General Manager.
Working Hours
Standard office hours are Monday to Friday from 09.00 to 17.30hrs.
