Marine Superintendent

Jo Tankers is a leading provider of deep-sea transportation services for chemicals and other high value liquids like petroleum products and edible oils.

The Marine Superintendent is responsible to audit and report on the Operational Standard, Quality, Health, Safety, Environmental care and Security objectives of Jo Tankers, and to act as operational advisor within Jo Tankers.

Tasks:

• Give support to the ships in nautical, safety and operational matters
• Assure that the ships operate in compliance with applicable rules, regulations and procedures
• Assist in the planning, attendance and follow up of audits and vetting inspections
• Follow up Port State / Flag State requirements and inspections
• Carry out investigations into incidents as required
• Assist with internal training programs

Qualifications:

• Experience as Master, Chief Officer or 2nd Officer on Chemical tankers, although other applicants will be considered based on individual experience.
• Good knowledge of the relevant rules and regulations
• Good computer knowledge
• Fluency in English and Norwegian (Oral and written)
