At VGG India we pride ourselves as a company that provides ‘Career’ and not just the Job. This is why most of our pool of crew are with us for a number of years and have grown with the organisation. We monitor performance, certification, training and provide guidance on career progression to our crew. Career opportunities ae discussed when a crew is visiting office after sign off or while joining. They are encouraged to do value added training and develop different skill competencies ( i.e. Different vessel type experience, higher skills like Coded welder…). As a result, we can see our seafarers moving into shore-based ship management positions, survey & consultancy services or starting something of their own.

All of our cadets have progressed into different higher ranks depending on higher certificates of competency obtained by them and finally taking command of the vessel or becoming Chief Engineers.
