JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title : Superintendent - Facilities
Department: Shipbuilding/Ship Repair Division
Reporting to : Manager - Facilities

JOB SUMMARY:

The incumbent shall assist in ensuring the facilities and equipment of the Organisation are maintained and kept in good working condition.
Assist with the Coordination with internal customers on new/enhanced physical requirements and execution of implementation, including development, maintenance and repair of facilities and equipments.
Shall assist with the maintenance of proper record for the facilities and equipments.
Assist in the planning and execution of regular maintenance program for the facilities and equipments and in compliance with the company policies as well as the legislations and regulations of the various involved ministries.

MAJOR TASKS:

Responsibilities:

- Ensure plan for effective building maintenance program are being carried out in accordance to company policies and ensure accurate records are maintained.
- Support the on-going, day-to-day facilities activities to ensure the building systems and manufacturing support equipments are operating in optimum conditions.
- Support the planning and recommendation for continuous improvement in facilities and equipment and assist with the monitoring and supervision of the building systems including mechanical, electrical, office equipments, etc.
- Assist with submission of design for facilities and equipment, coordinate on site-site visits with vendors and contractors for all routine facilities and equipments maintenance and repairs to meet performance and in conformance with applicable legislations including fire hazard and safety and building control requirements.
- Assist with the necessary documentation for procurement, maintenance and upgrades of facilities and equipments used within the Group.
- Assist with the administration of policies and procedures for facilities and equipments purchase/disposal, utilization and maintenance.
- Assist with the maintenance of licenses, lease renewal and equipments warranty and maintain records
- Assist in ensuring the environment of the yard are kept neat and tidy.
- Another other duties as assigned by the management.


COMPETENCY REQUIREMENT:

(Knowledge, Skill and Ability for this job)

a) Qualification:
- Diploma Building or Engineering or facilities or Project Management
- 5 years of relevant Facilities Management experience with good understanding of legislations and regulatory requirements
- Good knowledge of electrical, mechanical, etc system for facilities and production equipment

b) Knowledge:
- Good understanding of facilities requirements and equipment backup and maintenance system.
- Good crisis management skills
