Chief Engineer for ERRV
As a Chief Engineer you are responsible for the efficient and economical working of the Engine Department. Your primary role is always to ensure the safe operation of all machinery, safe working practices within the department and the safety of the ship.
Responsibilities:
To develop, control and execute plans for the maintenance of technical installations and equipment throughout the ship and to keep maintenance programmes updated.
To evaluate the performance and potential of ship’s staff in accordance with agreed procedures.
To ensure vessel is adequately bunkered and has sufficient FW including production capacity for voyage.
To be charge of bunkering the vessel and sampling.
To participate as a member of the Ship’s Management Team.
Requirements:
Certificate of Competence Chief Engineer;
At least two years experience in this rank, of which at least 1 year relevant experience ;
STCW required training;
Fluent in English both verbal and in writing (preferably proven by a Marlins test);
Preferably holding the ITSO certificate.
