On vessels managed by Vroon Offshore Services Ltd, the following positions for ERRV Vessels (Multi-Role and Conventional) are vacant
Chief Officer for ERRV
As Chief Officer you are responsible to the Master for the safe and efficient loading, carriage and discharge of cargoes, navigational watchkeeping, ship security and general operational maintenance. Furthermore, you are confident and enthusiastic, with good communication skills and are fluent in English.
Responsibilities:
To participate in the general planning of operations and maintenance
To control the detailed implementation of general plans in appropriate areas
To plan the activities of immediate subordinates
To participate as a member of the ship’s management team
To implement safety policies and practices
To act as training officer for Deck Cadets and Ratings
To deputise for the Master when necessary
To evaluate the performance and potential of sub-ordinates and Cadets in accordance with agreed procedures
Requirements:
Certificate of Competence Chief Officer
At least two years experience in this rank, of which at least 1 year relevant experience
STCW required training
Fluent in English both verbal and in writing
We are looking for Chief Officers holding the following certificates: C&C, CAA & SSOC
Initial Training and Shipboard Operations certificate is preferable, however training can be provided to successful applicants
