Job Description:
Position Summary
-Assist the Electrical Engineer on various Electrical and Project related tasks which includes but not limited to design of electrical power systems and related fields.
-Draft and Update Electrical Oneline drawings for various infrastructure and civil projects.
-Perform Coordination, Arc Flash and Short Circuit Studies using ETAP for various project
-Perform Lighting Calculations and Analysis for various construction projects
-Estimate assistance on various infrastructure projects which include Light Rail Tunnel Projects, Water or Sewer Tunnels, Bridges or Piers.
-Work with the NEC code to determine safety of equipment and to adhere to local codes.
-Work independently on assigned tasks with some supervisory oversight
Skills & Qualifications
-Must be a Junior or Senior enrolled in Electrical Engineering with focus on Power Engineering, Mechanical Engineering with strengths in Electrical Engineering would be considered. Candidate must be enrolled in an accredited College or University program and have an acceptable GPA- 2.5 or above.
-Effective written and verbal communication skills
-Competent skills in problem solving
-Competent in the use of PC's and MS Office Programs
-Knowledge of the English Language with the ability to speak, read and write along with good listening skills.
-Possess high motivation, flexibility and ability to work on his/her own.
-Knowledge of AutoCAD and ETAP Power preferred
-Knowledge of VBA and PLC a plus
