Efficiency in docking, launching and repair operations of ships is influenced by which solutions are used. TTS Syncrolift is continually developing smarter solutions which improve productivity and speed of operations in the shipyard. We seek to appoint an Automation Engineer who will be responsible for evaluating, developing, upgrading, implementing and maintaining our automation control systems.
Work Tasks
• Study our present processes, identify and make recommendations for new automation possibilities
• Designing, developing and implementing new process control systems - from detector to parent controls
• Revising / maintaining of existing automation systems
• Programming and configuration of PLS/PLC, HMI and SCADA-systems
• Managing and guiding consultants and suppliers
Qualifications
• Engineer with MSc or BSc degree in automation/cybernetics/IT or other relevant education
• Fluent English skills, both oral and written
• Proven ability to study, design, build, maintain and troubleshoot all aspects of machine control
• Practical knowledge of Omron PLS/PLC (including CX-One), Indusoft and/or InteractX is a plus
• Ability to solve problems of equipment and perform complex system tests
