Assistant Reefer for Carnival Cruise Line

As part of our amazing Engine Team as an Assistant Reefer, you will be Assisting our Refrigeration Officers to maintain and repair the Air Conditioning and refrigeration systems. Working as part of the small refrigeration Team under the guidance of the Chief Refrigeration Officer you will play a vital part in ensuring our ship stays cool so sour guests can enjoy their Fun and memorable vacations!
Support the Refrigeration Officer in the maintenance and upkeep of the vessel's Ventilation and Air Condition and refrigeration systems
Performs elementary mechanical tasks.
Assist the Refrigeration Officer in the execution of the maintenance and routine testing of equipment, instrument, and automation
Ensure that all aspects of our occupational health and safety programs are effectively applied
Ensure all aspects of the company's global (HESS-MS) Health, Environment, Safety and Security Management System are effectively applied during his/her working activities
Performs on-call duties as per the department rotation.
Participate in drills and training as required by the company
Complete additional assignments depending on shipboard operations

We are looking for:
Position: Assistant Reefer
Ship Type: Cruise Liner
Contract lengths /vacation – 6 months on/2 months off for all ratings.
Requirements:
* Minimum 12-18 months proven experience working with AC/HVAC systems
* High School Diploma, Technical training in AC/HVAC
* Basic Training Certificates as per STCW standard
* Strong focus on ships safety management
* Intermediate level proficiency in English is required.
* Ability to work well with a team
