Ensure that all garbage room equipment and incinerators are in working order at all times
Responsible that equipment and installations are operated in accordance to manufacturer instructions
Ensure that maintenance is performed as required and ashes are disposed of shore in accordance with Company’s policy and procedure
Maintain current records of maintenance and repairs
Help with the continuous updating and developing of planned maintenance procedures through experience gained with each type of machine on board for which they are responsible.
Ensure the inventory of strategic spare parts on board is sufficient to adequately maintain each machine for which they are responsible
Ensure the safe and efficient operation of the equipment for which they are responsible
Participates in all safety drills and training
Any other job assigned by the 1st Engineer or Staff Chief Engineer.

Contract lengths /vacation – 6 months on/2 months off for all ratings.
Requirements:
* You should have at least 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
* Intermediate level proficiency in English is required.
* Minimum guest interaction might be required.
* You must pass a Seafarers Medical Fitness Examination.
* You focus on continuous improvement and collaboration.
* Ability to work well with a team
