(SENIOR) PROJECT BUYER
Aim of function:
The creation, maintenance and administration of project procurement contracts for equipment, material and services and execute dedicated department processes.
Responsibilities:
The (Senior) Project Buyer will be responsible for the entire procurement process for the purchase of equipment, materials and services, within an acceptable timeframe and against the optimum market conditions. The (Senior) Project Buyer will take the lead in composing, implementing and managing market, product group and/or supplier strategies. An active contribution to the agreed company and department objectives is expected and the (Senior) Project Buyer will represent the Procurement Department in several project teams. The (Senior) Project Buyer will report on a Project bases to the Project Managers and on all other matters to the Head of Procurement.
Procurement process responsibilities:
Specifying of cost for goods and services:
Cross functional specifying composing proposal budgets, conditions and planning
Being the knowledge center for specific products groups
Creating Project Procurement plans
Selecting suppliers:
Pre qualifying suppliers and managing the preferred supplier list
Lead the request for quotation process
Lead and initiate the negotiation process
Selecting suppliers based on solid bid evaluations and advising project teams
Creating commercial bid comparisons
Contracting:
Contracting suppliers based on standard T&C or customized contract
Cross functional development of contracts
Contract management and expediting until delivery and receipt
Evaluation:
Project close out evaluation of suppliers
Agree on and implement improvement
Claim handling process
Requirements:
Completed bachelor degree (technical) and preferably Nevi I & II
Broad procurement experience, within the field of offshore
At least 10 years relevant experience in an international project wise environment
SAP experience
Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken
Sharp negotiator
Competences:
Communication, clear in writing as well as orally
Entrepreneurship, recognize possibilities and threats and act pro-active
Goal orientation, focusing on achieving goals and on time delivering
Analytical, separate important and less important matters and find correlations
Negotiation skill and capabilities
Flexibility, easy adapting to changing environments, tasks and/or people
