MMA Offshore is currently accepting expressions of interest from Masters, Deck Officers and DPOs in relation to vessels operating in North West shelf and north Australia over the next 12 months. While we are not actively recruiting, we are creating a candidate database for potential future vacancies on Platform Supply Vessels, Offshore Support Vessels or Anchor Handling Tug Supply vessels providing marine logistic services to the Oil and Gas industry.

Masters
Skills and experience
Required:
- STCW II/2 Master Unlimited Certificate of Competency or equivalent AMSA Certificate of Recognition
- Demonstrated experience as a Master offshore
- STCW VI/5 SSO Endorsement
- Demonstrated experience liaising with clients and meeting project requirements
Advantageous:
- DP Unlimited Certificate
- ECDIS certificate
- Azimuth and/or anchor handling experience
Duties will include:
- Ensuring the vessel is navigated, operated and maintained in accordance with Flag, Statutory Rules and Regulations, and Company Instructions
- Providing robust safety leadership and ensuring meticulous adherence to all aspects of HSEQ onboard
- Interfacing with the client on vessel day to day operational matters
- Addressing and resolving all matters affecting the safety of the crew, vessel, cargo and the protection of the environment
- Implementing and promoting the Company's policies, procedures and management system on-board the vessel
- Acting as the first point of contact for any crew issues including performance management in accordance with Company policies and procedures
Chief Mates
Skills and experience
Required:
- STCW II/2 Chief Mate Unlimited Certificate of Competency or equivalent AMSA Certificate of Recognition
- Demonstrated experience as a Chief Mate offshore
Advantageous:
- Azimuth and anchor handling experience
- ECDIS Certificate
- DP Advanced Certificate
Duties will include:
- Complying with all HSEQ policies and procedures as well as ensuring work instructions are undertaken in a safe and competent manner
- Coordinating the deck and cargo operations under the directions of the Master
- Ensuring the overall safe and competent operations of the bridge when on duty as an Officer of the Watch
- Maintaining the vessel's safety equipment under the direction of the Master and in accordance with Flag, Statutory and Company Conventions, Rules and Regulations (e.g. SOLAS, Marine Orders, etc)
- Supporting the Master in motivating the crew in the observance of statutory and Company policies and procedures
- Supporting the Master with performance management of the crew in accordance with Company policies and procedures
Second Mates
Skills and experience
Required:
- STCW II/1 Deck Watchkeeper Unlimited Certificate of Competency or equivalent AMSA Certificate of Recognition
- Demonstrated experience as a Deck Watchkeeper offshore
Advantageous:
- DP Advanced Certificate
- ECDIS Certificate
Duties will include:
- Complying with all HSEQ policies and procedures as well as ensuring work instructions are undertaken in a safe and competent manner
- Coordinating the deck and cargo operations under the directions of the Master
- Ensuring the overall safe and competent operations of the bridge when on duty as an Officer of the Watch
- Maintaining the vessel's safety equipment under the direction of the Master and in accordance with Flag, Statutory and Company Conventions, Rules and Regulations (e.g. SOLAS, Marine Orders, etc)
Additional criteria for all positions:
- Place importance on health, safety, security and the environment above all other requirements
- Be willing to adapt to new systems
- Hold a STCW VI/6 Security Awareness Endorsement
- Hold a valid Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC) or able to meet requirements
- Hold a valid AMSA Medical Certificate or equivalent
- Hold a valid Passport with a minimum of 6 months’ currency
- Be able to apply for and meet National Police Certificate requirements
