Job Title : Manager – Planning and Production Control
Department: Shipbuilding
Reporting to : Vice President – Planning and
Production Control

JOB SUMMARY:

Manager Planning and Production is fully responsible for overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control of the ship building and ship repair activities. He/she shall ensure execution of the project in line with the company strategy, commitments and goals.
MAJOR TASKS:
Responsibilities:
a. Create; lead the planning and implementation of the project and track Project
deliverables.
b. Implement and manage project changes and achieve project outputs.
c. Review project plans and control budget and monitor all jobs to ensure
compliance with customer’s requirements.
d. Provide technical advice during construction.
e. Determine resources and develop work schedules required for effective
completion of project.
f. Control sub-contractors’ activities and manage resource allocation.
g. Make Project close out reports consisting of evaluation, assessment of results
and lessons learnt.
h. Liaise on warranty claims and after-sales service.
i. Ensure high level of customer satisfaction.
j. Effective monitoring and enforcing of all quality and safety aspects.
k. Review the shipbuilding / ship repair contracts
COMPETENCY REQUIREMENT: (Knowledge, Skill and Ability for this job)
Education and experience:
Graduate in Engineering Discipline.
PMP certification preferred.
Experience in Project management tools is an advantage.
Knowledge in practical and theoretical aspects of new building.
Knowledge about contracts administration.
Minimum 7 years’ experience in Shipyard or oil and Gas organization.
Proven Experience in risk management.
Proven Experience in Change management.
Project management of projects.
