Description:
Position Summary
Develop and maintain a companywide maintenance program for equipment utilized within heavy civil, marine, and underground projects.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Follow all company safety policies and guidelines
Research and assist in design of new tools, fluids, & systems to improve equipment maintenance and to lower job cost
Incorporate a condition based maintenance program
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and requirements as it pertains to maintenance
Work closely with telematics and oil sampling providers to obtain consistent and reliable data
Work closely with Area and Job Equipment Superintendents as well as Job Project Management to ensure systems are utilized
Assist with training of field personnel concerning maintenance systems
Manage repair and equipment maintenance records
Keep current on manufacturer safety/service bulletins
Assist with warranty & third party repairs when necessary
Conduct visual inspections for equipment, inbound and outbound
Purchase parts and materials; cost code and process bills
Assist in safety tool box meetings and daily safety reminders
Manage parts and supplies inventory
Assist in developing work plans with Activity Hazard Analysis reports
Assume additional responsibilities as directed by division and corporate management. Travel as required to attend, but not limited to, meetings, site visits, training, etc.
Skills and Abilities
Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
Ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking and writing so others will understand
Identify the proper tools and equipment needed
Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences
General Mechanical skills
Demonstrate the ability and behavior necessary to lead others in accomplishing individual and team goals
Ability to work well in a non-structured environment
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OnBase, database management
Training required and will be provided
NCCO – written test only
AEMP – CEM course
OSHA – 30 hour course
First Aid Training – CPR course
CEMP course
Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field of study or 5 years or relevant experience
