JOB TITLE: ISIT Manager
REPORTING TO: Chief Information Officer
LOCATION: Dubai
1.1 ROLE SUMMARY |
- Manage lifecycle of IT corporate project and initiatives for hemisphere and Rig Fleet. Including expansion and growth of offices and rigs
- Act as a Business Partner for Information Services within the respective business unit (hemisphere) and through engagement with functional heads support the objectives of the business unit
- Oversee the performance of all Information Services delivery within the respective business unit (Eastern Hemisphere)
- Engage with all Information Services support functions to help establish new initiatives, service improvements and optimize service delivery to enhance operational effectiveness within the respective business unit (Eastern Hemisphere)
- Maintain and expand the relationship with functional management in the respective business unit (region) to ensure correct stakeholder engagement for new and ongoing process improvement initiatives including financial management
- Act as point of escalations for the business and rig fleet identifying risk factors and contingency plans, communicate critical factors to management and other stakeholders
- Management of offshore IT products, projects, and resources on the RIG fleet
1.2 JOB SPECIFIC |
Key responsibilities for this role will be:
- Proactively lead the IS account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones in keeping with set business unit objectives
- Proactively assess, clarify and validate customer IS needs on an ongoing basis
- Ensure effectiveness of implemented changes (processes, tools, service transformations etc.) and report status of all IS deliveries within the respective business unit (region)
- Coordinate the involvement of respective IS support personnel, including management resources, to meet performance objectives and customer expectations
- Provide support and guidance to IS Regional Operations Coordinators and contracted IS Support personnel
- Manage the IS operational service delivery within the respective business unit (Eastern Hemisphere) ensuring agreed Service Levels are maintained in keeping with signed contracts. Escalate where necessary in keeping with service governance roles
- Manage the introduction of change within the IS environment ensuring risks are mitigated and business unit (region) disruption is minimized
- Communicate all IS service disruptions within the respective business unit (region)
- Be a loyal and a strong advocate for IS Policy and ensure that IS support activities are performed in accordance with IS directives and standards
2.0 SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE |
- Ten or more years of professional Information Services experience working within the Oil and Gas industry is desirable
- Fluent in English, both verbal, written and presentation
- Ability to manage a team of IS Technology specialists and service companies providing IS services
- Excellent reporting, planning, budgeting and project management skills
2.1 QUALIFICATIONS |
- A formal education equivalent to a bachelor’s degree within a technical/engineering discipline is required. Relevant experience performing a similar role within the Oil and Gas industry may be considered in lieu of this requirement
3.0 KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS |
- Directive and Procedure – Demonstration of knowledge and requirements within the IS domain. Ensure compliance with Corporate IS Directives and procedures
- Communication – Effective and efficient communications particularly to the business users on IS incidents that affect normal operations both onshore and offshore. Proactive communications
- Quality of Work – Ability to resolve incidents within agreed periods and according to best practices. Ability to manage change and projects to deliver quality benefits to the business with minimum disruption to normal operations
- Teamwork – Recognized by business users as a team player, providing benefit and support as required. Ability to mentor and guide subordinates. Department performance to be measured from rig manager’s quarterly feedback and Operations Directors feedback
- Proactive decision making on critical situations that affect the business adversely. Take constructive feedback from department heads, rig management team and senior IS managers as inputs for development
- Cost Control – Align regional IS budgets and expenditure with IS Strategy. Identify and communicate ways IS could help save cost without compromising quality of deliverables
