Mooring Master
Required Qualifications - Active Unlimited Masters License and a current STCW certificate for PIC of Dangerous Liquids or a Class1 Master's Certificate of Competency with a Tankerman/Dangerous Liquid Petroleum endorsement.
Expected Experience
15 Years industry experience, including time served as chief officer or master on oil tankers.
Professional and practical operational knowledge and experience of handling Very Large Crude Carriers (VLCC) and Suez Max vessels as Master or Pilot/Mooring Master.
Training in both offshore SBM and Tandem mooring operations.
Job Responsibilities
• Berthing and unberthing of all export vessels
• Pre-arrival communications
• Pre-mooring inspections and vessel approval
• Direct ship’s crew during tug and hose connection / disconnection.
• Tanker product transfer operations
• Audit and monitor export vessel cargo operations, condition, and performance
• Assist with offloading equipment inspections and maintenance
• Responsible for cargo documentation - Bills of Lading
• Fully conversant with all aspects of ExxonMobil operating standards, procedures, and quality levels
• Ensure compliance with Angolan Labor law and Company policies
• Minimize berthing conflicts between Drilling Rig moves, Field Development Ships, and Survey Vessels.
• Coordinate Tanker scheduling based predicted production rates
• Planning and executing maintenance of CALM buoys, hoses, hawsers, and associated fittings.
